I used to have 98 showdown John wall and the only thing that curry can do better than him is SOMETIMES make 3's from almost near half court, but other than that 99 curry won't make a shot if a hand is in his face unless you get the 20% perfect release, if you over or under hold the "shoot" button and curry has someone in front of him he'll most likely miss the shot. I think this is because he has a very low SWC rating which is an 88 but Idk. Does anybody on here have the 99 Kerr ? If so,is he any good ? I'm looking for a 98+ PG to replace this curry
Guys are u serious u have no idea what is a contested shot in this game??!! Btw when there is a hand in ur face or u have defender is close to and u r guarded closely and u shoot it is a contested shot
I only have 97 showdown wall but I’ve stuck with him since I got him in week 2 (3?) and he’s gotten the job done. His AI isn’t perfect but it’s better than curry’s. On offense I usually have no problems hitting 2 threes per quarter with him. Then you add the 2 threes each that royalty lebron and master Harden hit for me, along with the occasional buckets from embiid/duncan, and I often end up with at least 20 points per quarter. In other words, so what if curry can hit 6-7 threes? Does that leave any room for the four other players to get meaningful buckets? Unless curry is allowing your team to score 25-30 points a quarter or something, not sure he’s worth the coin.
oh, and on topic, does anyone hit contested threes consistently? I don’t think that’s a fair knock on curry, as I don’t usually take contested threes with anyone and expect them to go in at a high rate.
Actually this curry card AI isn't bad at all...when you facing him one ovr up opponent....it's a hard time ...even with equal ovr he is still playing good in ai....but what I learnt this game is don't spam steal no matter what jus play defence in the face...it's very tough for AI to score...AI itself turn the ball over...
Most I’ve ever scored in a showdown quarter is 28 but usually I get 18-22 or so. Would you say your scoring output has increased dramatically since you got curry? I don’t know that I would consistently score more than ~20 even if I could hit more threes with curry. More importantly, curry wouldn’t help me in my biggest area of weakness, containing the opponent. Wall is prolific at getting steals already, even against the Simmons and magics of the world, so curry wouldn’t help there for me.
Yea he rarely even gets one bucket against me because he’s so easy to strip. He seems to take a lot of contested shots, too, but doesn’t make many. On another note, they should’ve given curry the buzzer beater, would’ve made more sense than Simmons knowing how good he is at those half/full-court heaves.
My offense has improved significantly just to remind u that I also have PO Ray Allen and he wasn’t doing that good lately and again I wanna remind u that I also have maxed legend pau and royalty born and before curry I had l POTM Ben Simmons I don’t see any difference on stealing and D but the biggest difference is Simmons can’t shoot curry can do that don’t know about curry’s Ai that much
I’d be interested to know how much more successful you guys have been in SD/LVL before curry and after curry. More wins overall? Make no mistake - I’d gladly put curry into my lineup if I could afford him but I don’t view him as dramatically better in terms of net impact than my showdown wall. When I upgraded my PG from UL tony Parker to showdown wall, it was night and day, my improvement overall. I think I’ll wait for a PG that can turn the tides in similar fashion over Wall.
Buy Steph Curry because he's the best shooter in the game and because he gets a ton of steals - seriously it's weird/highly unlikely to score less than 20 points a quarter since I added Steph to the squad. I really don't know why anybody bases their decision on whether or not to keep/buy a player based on their AI. When I face a lower OVR team, Ben Simmons (F&I or POTM) is nonexistent... When I face a higher OVR team Ben Simmons, Steph Curry, John Wall, Chauncey Billups, doesn't matter what PG they have, they turn into the best player of all time. You should buy a player because they're fun to play with manually and Steph is as fun as it gets.
I think it’s a balance of both manual and AI that I take into consideration. Because, let’s face it: you can score 20 points in a quarter with a +10 margin, but if the opponent is scoring 20 points with a +15 margin, largely because your player(s)’ AI sucks, that’s something to consider. Also I disagree about OVR being the overriding factor for player effectiveness. I find that BB Simmons still does his thing whether I’m facing a 96 OVR or a 102 OVR. The 102 OVR is tougher obviously, but the same trends apply to a player’s AI regardless of OVR (e.g., curry being easy to strip and Bb Simmons being tougher to strip, though not impossible).
